You come home from a mixer with a stack of cards. AfterShake turns each one into a personal follow-up, so you are the person who actually follows through.
Snap the card
Take a photo. AfterShake reads the name, title, company, email and phone, and fills in the contact for you. No typing, and no guilty pile of cards waiting on your desk. If a card has an unusual layout, you can review and edit every field before saving, or skip the scan and enter a contact by hand.
Add a line of context
Where you met and what you talked about. That one line is what turns a template into an email that sounds like you remember them.
Send the draft
AI writes a personal follow-up email and a short text version. Tweak either one, then open it in your own email app or Messages and hit send. The email comes from you, from your address.
Send as Text
Each draft comes with a short text version, 2 to 3 sentences, that ends with an easy question. Tap Send as Text and Messages opens with the number and message filled in. A text version counts as part of the same draft.

Mobile and office numbers
Cards that list two numbers put each one in the right box, and faxes are ignored. Send as Text uses the mobile first.
Tags
Tag contacts by event, like "Chamber luncheon". Turn on "Add these tags to my next scans too" to tag a whole night of scans at once.
Better search
Search by name, company, title, tag, where you met, notes or email. Every word you type has to match.
CSV export
Export your whole list, or just the contacts a search found, to a CSV file you can open in Sheets, Numbers or Excel.
Steadier card reading
Scan the same card twice and you get the same fields both times.
Edits are saved
Changes you make to a draft are still there when you come back to the contact.
